I went to the local gun shop looking for a .22 revolver, something like a S&W Model 17 but the guy talked me into buying this:

im sure you will find out if you like the recoil to go along with it.

Your intention to get a .22LR was sensible. I have one that I use as a trainer for my heavy caliber home defense gun. I can get in a lot more shooting than I would with the larger caliber. If you don't have much experience with guns, it pays to take one step at a time.
