Springfield Armory's warranty regarding a guide rod laser.

I recently ask SA if installing a guide rod laser in my XD-45 would affect the warranty. Below is there response.
I am waiting for a reply on how it would affect the warranty.

I'll venture a guess and say that what she meant was, "....it will VOID the warranty...."

You have installed a non-factory part in the pistol.... therefore, anything that happens ain't their problem.

Modifications affect only what is modified.
